Use good lighting, hold the code or ingredient panel steady, and confirm your device is online. Product lookup and ingredient-label text recognition require a network connection. If a product is missing or the label cannot be read, enter the ingredients manually.
Add entries from Today quick actions or the Journal tab. Edit or delete an item from its timeline entry. Open More, then Doctor Report, to prepare a user-entered summary for an appointment.
Open More and choose Export My Data to prepare a local structured copy, or Delete My Data to clear FlareLens records from that device. Deletion requires confirmation and cannot be undone.
Frequently asked questions
Use a quick action on Today or open the Journal tab, choose the entry type, add the details you want to record and save.

Camera access is used only when you choose barcode scanning or ingredient-label capture. FlareLens shows an explanation before requesting the native permission.
Third-party product databases do not contain every product. You can rescan, check your connection or enter the ingredient list manually.
Yes. Manual ingredient entry and other non-camera journal features remain available when camera permission is denied.
Delete individual entries from the Journal timeline. To clear all local FlareLens data, open More, choose Delete My Data and confirm.
Journal records and settings are stored locally on your device. Barcode lookups and ingredient-label OCR use the network only when requested. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
